How to install the ChatGPT app

You can install the ChatGPT app in your phone by opening the App Store, searching for ChatGPT and tapping on the one made by OpenAI. Install and start using.

We’ll start with iOS an move on to Android right after.

1. iOS

Shortcut: Link to ChatGPT on the App Store

Follow these steps to download ChatGPT on iPhone/iPad.

1.1. App Store

1. Unlock your iPhone
2. Locate App Store
3. Open it

1.2. Search for ChatGPT

1. Go to the Search section (bottom-right)
2. Look up ChatGPT
3. Tap on it once found

The one you look for says “The official app by OpenAI”.

Watch out as there are many copycats looking similar to ChatGPT.

Make sure you get OpenAI‘s app.

1.3. Download

• Tap the “Get” button
• For us it says “Open” because it is already downloaded

Seeing a cloud-looking icon? This means you’ve downloaded the app before.

Simply click it and ChatGPT will start downloading.

Note how there are many replicas — you want to get OpenAI’s app.
